"Growing up Southern is a privilege, really. It's more than where you're born - it's an idea, a state of mind that seems imparted at birth. It's more than loving fried chicken, sweet tea, high school football, country music, and acoustic guitars. It's being hospitable, being devoted to front porches, magnolias, the good Lord, and each other. We don't become Southern - we're born that way."

Southern Pride

I am proud to be from the South-

Where tea is sweet and accents are sweeter;

summer starts in April;

front porches are wide and words are long;

macaroni and cheese is a vegetable;

pecan pie is a staple;

Y’all is the only proper pronoun;

chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy;
everything is darlin' and someone is always getting their heart blessed.

Have a good day y'all!
